The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), through the vehicle of sports, provides youth with an opportunity to practice Christian attitudes and responsibilities and become friends with other children throughout the Oakland Diocese. The volunteer run program is open to both boys and girls in Grades 3rd – 8th within the boundaries of the St. Isidore or St. Joan of Arc parishes. 2nd graders are also eligible to participate under the stipulation that parents will be available to assist with their age group at all practices. Athletes do not have to be Catholic to participate but simply seek to enjoy track and field in a Christian environment.
Our season begins in early February and includes four (4) regular season meets, Relay Meet, and Qualifying Meet which are available to all athletes. For those athletes that advance from the Qualifying Meet, Sectional and Diocesan Championship Meets are available. We offer a wide range of individual and relay track (running) events as well as field events.
We ask that parents routinely visit the website for any new information and be mindful of emails you may receive from firstname.lastname@example.org. We will normally post any key updates (i.e., canceling of practice due to weather at least two (2) hours before the start of the activity) on the Home Page and update the SCHEDULE.
Information on our program can be found under “Program Information” within the RESOURCES page; see the Track & Field Program Handbook.
